Picture: Pale Blue Dot

This sure is among the most important pictures I'll ever post, on a personal level. It is the original "Pale Blue Dot" picture taken when Voyager 1 turned its lens back home from a distance of some 4 billion miles away from Earth. Did not put a circle showing Earth's location, for you to search a little. Although it would be only 0.12 pixel in size according to the original description, our planet is easily found suspended on a beam of light.

Carl Sagan told the history behind this image on the original Cosmos television series. I would not fail to share a video of it with you. It self-explains why I consider it so important.

Esta certamente é uma das imagens mais importantes que postarei, em um nível pessoal. É a foto original do "Pálido Ponto Azul" tirada quando a Voyager 1 voltou suas lentes para casa, a uma distância de umas 4 bilhões de milhas (6437376000 km) da Terra. Não coloquei um círculo mostrando a posição da Terra, para vocês procurarem um pouquinho. Embora a Terra tenha apenal 0.12 pixel segundo a descrição original, nosso planeta é encontrado facilmente, suspenso numa faixa de luz.
